Microsoft Windows Server 2025 Datacenter License - 8 Core Pack

The Windows Server 2025 Datacenter 8 Core Pack is the flexible add-on for licensing extra physical cores. Use it to expand an existing Datacenter deployment or to build up the exact core count your hardware needs.

Best For

• Servers with more than 16 cores
• Adding capacity when you upgrade processors
• Licensing new hosts in multiples of 8 cores

Core Pack Math

• 1 pack covers 8 cores, 2 packs cover 16 cores, 4 packs cover 32 cores
• A server needs at least 16 licensed cores, so order at least two packs per server
• Each processor needs a minimum of 8 core licenses

What You Get

• 8 Windows Server 2025 Datacenter core licenses per pack
• Unlimited Windows Server virtual machines on the licensed host once all cores are covered

Can I use one pack on its own?

Not for a full server. Windows Server needs at least 16 licensed cores per server, so pair it with another pack or a 16 core license. CALs are sold separately.
